Fishing with Grandpa,
Grandma fished too.
Rainy or Shiny,
They knew what to do.
"Come to the Dock now",
"They're biting, you know",
Off like a line of ducks
they often did go.
Up above in the sky,
Quacking is heard,
The little troupe looked
as the brook they passed by.
Nearby the raccoons chattered
as they scurried away,
Looking for food to store
safely away.
The deer crossed the path soon,
They hurried on too.
As our bunch traveled by,
Such a motley crew.
It's almost too cold now
to go fishing for dinner,
But the thrill of the quest
Is the goal of the venture.

Little Boy Blue (Tyler)
Little Boy Blue.
Blue Eyes and Blonde hair
Cut short in a Butch.
Sleepy and tired,
It's time for his lunch.
Paskettio's it is now,
His and Gpa's best munch.
Sitting and talking
With Grandpa it seems,
Is the favorite pastime of
This little boy's Dreams.
They talk about fishing,
riding bikes and then sports.
Hopscotch and Baseball
are the next he reports.
"How's School going?"
"Fine, it's just so, so"
Typical words as
It starts to snow.
As lunch is over,
Now it's time for more fun.
OOPS!
Two asleep in the chair,
Guess fun is now done.

Childhood
For my Grandson (Hunter)
He knows he is growing,
So fast for it seems,
He is to soon growing out of
his shoes and his jeans.
Up he gets taller,ever faster
he runs.
Going over land now,
Running alone
in the Sun.
Eyes Blue as water
Like the Ocean or stream.
Blazing and Twinkling,
Still likes to Dream.
Of Goblins and Monsters,
then Heroes and Kings,
His interests are many
As he sometimes sings.
In between Childhood
And the Land Teens do Roam.
That little boy still snuggles
With his Grandma, alone.

Sleepyhead (Penny)
Rumpled up hair,
Clothes all messed too.
Eyes open slowly,
Peeking at you.
Slowly rolls over,
A small smile she gives.
Yawning and stretching
Her Heart for you lives.
She loves with abandon,
Each day and night.
Having a Sleepover,
Is sure out of sight!

Little Punkin Girl (Penny)
Little Punkin' Girl.
How did you get that name?
I don't remember.
You were born in February,
Not November.
Your little round cheeks,
Yes, that must be why.
So tiny and crumpled
Round and red,"sigh".
Dark hair so long
and dark as night sleek.
Eyes as Blue as
The Sky or the Creek.
I still call you Punkin,
Can't seem to stop.
Get tears in my eyes
When you call Grandpa, "Pop".
We have Rocked you,
Walked with you,
Since that time, true,
Giggling at all the Silly things you do.
Time has gone fast,
So fast, rushing to where?
Sssh, be quiet, time
To go nap upstairs.

This Day
Sometimes I wonder
As the Days fast rush by
How can it be Dusk now,
Can't stop it, I've tried.
Where the heck did it go?
I blinked as it went
So much to accomplish,
Only once did I vent.
Got started on one thing,
Which led to the next
Then the Telephone rang
And I was editing text.
Why can't I just reason
And sit here and think?
Why must I travel
In Circles like an old skating rink!

Relaxation
Relaxation
River speeds by me
Trees rustle, too.
Beauty surrounds me,
I sure love the View.
So quiet and sunny,
The wind gently blows.
Hop, hop goes a bunny,
Why, no one knows.
Thoughts come so slowly,
The mind sleepy gets,
No one to disturb me,
nap time, I guess.
Weather is warming,
By Sun we shall go.
This bright, shiny Sunday,
Down the Path worn and old.
To the pond near the water,
Where the breeze seldom goes.
I sit and relax now
As it cleanses my Soul.
Birthday time....life is fleeting
Soon is your Birthday,
Not just another day.
You must celebrate it
OH, pooh you just say. .
Let me share just a bit.
You will understand
better when I tell you
this bit.
Birthdays are special
They help us to know
Each year is passing
This helps us to grow. Just like the Song said
A long time ago
Time spent together The Cat's in the Cradle
is never enough. And I Love you so.
How can you be
the age you are now, Don't get to see you
That just cannot be. But know that it's true
For you see, Your Family needs you
Then your Job does, too!
I feel
that I am that age, I know we must share you
you are still little. And this we will do.
playing by my knee Just don't wait too long now
We might be gone too.
You will always be there
deep in my Heart.
As on you go living
your life painting, Art.
Your part
Of this thing
Called Life,
We each go on and
face challenges differently,
yet the same.
Hustle, Bustle, do this,
do that.
Never enough time
Never enough time
Where did those years go?
People never know!
Not just another day.
You must celebrate it

Moving
Moving along,
Singing a song.
Friendships a plenty,
Hugs give out, Many.
Can't live without them,
Needed since back when.
So glad to have Friends,
To help and Amend.

Hugs give out, Many.

Thoughts
Sad thoughts, thinking Sad Memory Meditation
give way to Gives way to Happy Ones
Happy Ones, blinking. With dedication.
Thinking, remembering Traveling alongside
feeling, letting go, My mind is
sometimes trembling. Calmed by the River's glide.
Flowers coming, protruding Lost in thought,
up through the snow, Down the Lane
I walk.
Friendships both old and new Knowing deep within
begin and end, "Be Kind"
Being alone, or with crew. Is why I begin.
Moving along To know that Friendships
From the past till today, Both Old and new
The thoughts from my brain, Develop
newly stray.
Alone or together,
Now it is time to be Or when cooking
alone with yourself, A Stew.
Memories,
You. Gifts given.
So pleasant.

Dilema
Outside or inside
Which way do I go?
Sunshine and shadow,
These choices I know.
Writing and reading
Computer does call.
Or going outside
Before it is Fall.
Which way do I go?
Sunshine and shadow,
These choices I know.
Writing and reading
Computer does call.
Or going outside
Before it is Fall.
Sister and Brother
Sweet little Sister
Sleeping so sweet.
Small little fingers
Booties on feet.
Squiggles and coos
Gently awakes.
New wrinkled baby
No crying she makes
Big brother holds her
So gentle and neat
New job he treasures,
Kisses her, sweet.

Booties on feet.
Squiggles and coos
Gently awakes.
